Rhyl Reserves 1 - 5 Colwyn Bay  - 22/12/01 - Training Game

Saturday was no day off for the Colwyn Bay squad. With no scheduled game it decided to take on Rhyl's Reserve side in Rhyl to keep up their match fitness for the Boxing day clash with Burscough. It was also an opportunity for a couple of the Reserve team squad to train with the first team.  As Rhyl Reserves were a couple of players short the Bay's Steve Jones, Joe McMahon and Tommy Skyes played for Rhyl. Also amongst the Rhyl ranks were former Bay players Dave Fuller and Russell Jones and it was Jones who scored for the hosts. In reply Marc Limbert scored twice, one with a header and the other from the penalty spot and Bay's other goals came from Craig Lawton, Stuart Scheuber  and an own goal from Greg  Harris in a 5-1 win.
