Runcorn FC Halton 1 - 2 Colwyn Bay - 21/11/01 - League

Colwyn Bay completed the 'double' over Runcorn Halton at their new AutoQuest Stadium base at Widnes, and in the process gain their first win in 12 games.

The Seagulls went in front on 16 minutes, Deiniol Graham's cross was volleyed spectacularly into the roof of the net by Jason Jones.

The Bay should have extended their lead before half time, Graham hitting the crossbar and having tow other efforts saved by Mark Winstanley in the Runcorn goal.

Dominic Lawley went close for Runcorn after the break, with Paul Smith saving but they did equalise on 54 minutes when Paul McNally's shot was deflected and beat Smith.

But the Bay's winning goal came on 62 minutes, Marc Limbert was sent clear by Deiniol Graham's pass and he coolly beat the advancing Winstanley.

The Bay held on to their lead with then minutes injury time added on by the referee, and Craig Hogg and Glen Graham were impressive in the centre of defence.

Colwyn Bay: Paul Smith, Stuart Scheuber, Paul Jones, Craig Hogg, Glen Graham, Jason Jones, Marc Limbert(Jon Fisher-Cooke), Graham Roberts(C), Deiniol Graham(Gary Curtis), Dean Williams, Alun Evans(Calvin Davies). Attendance 211.

The Bay defend an early Runcorn corner.

Dean Williams and Percy battle hard in midfield.
