Colwyn Bay 2 - 2 Nantwich Town - 24/07/01 - Friendly

Honours even in this friendly game with Bay taking an early lead when Alun Evans latched onto a through ball and scored. Nantwich were back on level terms 12 minutes later through a Jimmy Quinn penalty after a foul by  the Bay 'keeper Paul Smith and went into the break with a 2-1 lead, new player manager and Northern Ireland international Quinn the scorer again after half an hour. Bay rallied in the second half with Jason Jones equalising with a header from a Graham Roberts free kick after 60 minutes. The Seagulls appeared to have won the game late on when a shot appeared to have gone over the line and miraculously came out again next to a Nantwich defender's hand but Bay appeals fell on deaf ears.

Heads up!

Woodsy on the ball.

The ball's over the line and the Bay win 3-2! - not according to the officials! And the only way this ball could have come back out from there was via the defender's hand! - not according to the officials.
