Colwyn Bay 1 - 0 Emley - 17/04/02 - League

Bay gained a crucial three points and their second successive home win against Emley.

The only goal of the game came in the first half. Stuart Scheuber's through ball found James McIlvogue in the penalty area and he squared the ball for debutant Carl Furlong to score from close range.

Bay had to withstand some Emley pressure in the second half, but were well worth their one goal lead.

The Bay should have been awarded a penalty late in the game when Furlong was pulled down by the Emley keeper, but the referee waved on to Furlong's and the home supporters amazement.
