Caernarfon Town 2 - 1 Colwyn Bay AET (1-1 full time) - 24/04/02 - North Wales Coast FA Cup - Semi-final (at The Morfa, Conwy United)


For the second season in succession the Bay bowed out of the North Wales Coast Challenge Cup at the hands of Caernarfon Town.

On a difficult pitch the Bay took the lead after four minutes and Deiniol Graham scoring.

But within two minutes the Canaries were level with former Bay striker Danny Barton scoring from close range.

With no further goals in normal time the game entered extra time and Marc Limbert and Craig Lawton went close for the Bay during this period.

Caernarfon's winner came in the 111th minute. Ian Gauntlett's 35 yard shot hit a divot which deflected wide of substitute 'keeper Paul Jones
