Bradford Park Avenue 5 - 0 Colwyn Bay - 27/04/02 - League

Colwyn Bay remain in the Premier Division play off place following defeat in Bradford.

The Seagulls, missing a number of regulars, should have taken an eighth minute lead when Deiniol Graham took advantage of a slip by Micky Thompson but with only home goalkeeper Joel Armstrong to beat, he steered the ball wide.

Bradford took the lead in the 25th minute when Andy Hayward set up Jason Maxwell, whose shot from six yards beat keeper Billy Stewart.

The crucial second goal came right on the stroke of half time when Dean Martin's sweetly struck volley from an angle gave Stuart no chance. A stoppage time fracas saw early bath's for Bay's Graham Roberts and Bradford's Dean Calcutt.

Maxwell made it 3-0 13 minutes after the interval when he turned his marker in the box to shoot home but Bay kept plugging away as Graham went close with a rising drive.

Two more goals in the space of two minutes killed off the Seagulls. Maxwell completed his hat-trick in the 77th minute and Lindley netted at the back post.
