Barrow 1 - 1 Colwyn Bay- 06/11/01 - League

The Seagulls produced what manager Colin Caton described as "our best defensive performance of the season" to earn a battling point in the wind and rain at Barrow. In front of almost 1,000 spectators the Bay led at half-time with a 34th minute penalty by Deiniol Graham when Marc Limbert was pulled down as a jinxing run took him into the box. Limbert, who also saw a goalbound shot saved by home 'keeper Simon Bishop at full stretch, and Alun Evans caused the Barrow defence problems in the first half when Colwyn Bay were the dominant side, but weren't able to convert a  number of chances into further goals. Barrow switched thing round and played three up front in the second half when they had the wind behind them, and put a lot of pressure on Bay's defence. But the visitors almost held out with the equalising goal coming in the 78th minute when Paul Smith was beaten by Steve Housham's header.

Colwyn Bay: Paul Smith, Stuart Scheuber(Owain Roberts 55), Paul Jones, Craig Hogg, Glen Graham, Jason Jones(C), Marc Limbert, Dean Williams,  Deiniol Graham, Alun Evans, Craig Lawton(Colin Caton 70). Sub not used.  Steve Jones. Attendance 964.
