Accrington Stanley 3 - 0 Colwyn Bay - 17/10/01 - League
After being beaten in
comprehensive fashion at Llanelian Road earlier in the season, Accrington
Stanley gained revenge over the Bay notching up a 3-0 win at the Crown Ground.
The Bay did have chances in the first half, Marc Limbert testing home keeper
Jamie Speare with a fierce drive on 23 minutes.
But once the home team took the lead on 55 minutes, the Bay had a mountain to
climb. Steve Flitcroft opening the scoring with a shot that went past Paul Smith
in the Bay goal.
Four minutes later the home side were two up, with Carden this time beating
Smith. Stanley's win was completed when substitute Mark Brennan scored the third
with four minutes of the game remaining.
