Lancaster City 1- 0 Colwyn Bay - 10/04/01 - League

The Bay were denied a vital point after conceding a late goal at high flying Lancaster City.

The Bay battled well and looked to have done enough to have gained a much needed point.

Among the chances that came their way, James McIlvogue headed wide with a free header midway through the first half, while after the break  Marc Limbert twice got clear of his markers but he was denied by the home keeper Cyril Sharrock.

The Bay were denied anything from the game when on 82 minutes, and with only their second shot on target, Lancaster scored. Colin Potts' cross wasn't properly cleared by Graham Roberts and Brian Welch was lurking on the edge of the penalty area to hit home past stand in keeper Lee Williams and give the home side the three points.
