Colwyn Bay 2 - 4 Accrington Stanley - 21/02/01 - League

The Bay fell to yet another defeat at home to Accrington Stanley in this UniBond League Premier Division clash.

Paul Burns fired Stanley into the lead on 26 minutes, and they went further ahead six minutes later through Mark Ceraolo.

The Bay reduced the deficit on 36 minutes when Alun Evans crossed from the left for Deiniol Graham to head home.

The Seagulls forced the pace after the interval and were denied a penalty when Deiniol Graham was brought down in the box. Minutes later Richie Roberts was on hand to produce a superb save from Steve Hollis' free kick, but there was no denying Stanley on 71 minutes as Paul Mullin headed in Burns' cross.

Mullin scored his second two minutes later with a close range shot. The Bay had late chances to score through Marc Limbert, Graham and Evans, an despite Jay Flannery putting through his own net in the dying minutes, the visitors ran out 4-2 winners.
